Dr. I. Umamaheswararao is a Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from KL University and his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. He has over 16 years of teaching experience in reputed engineering colleges and universities.
Dr. Umamaheswararao has served as a faculty member and Course Coordinator for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Computer Science and Information Technology. He has demonstrated strong academic leadership, administrative capabilities, and interpersonal skills in managing academic and co-curricular activities in a dynamic educational environment.
His professional contributions include the establishment and enhancement of effective teaching–learning processes, mentoring and guiding B.Tech and M.Tech projects in areas such as Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and Databases. He has also served as Faculty Incharge for Computer Science Associations and Student Chapters.
He has been associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and other engineering institutions as a Guest Faculty and Examiner. He is also a member of the Academic Council and Board of Studies.
His research interests focus on Cloud Computing and Machine Learning. He has published research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals and presented his work at international conferences. He has participated in and organized several workshops and seminars in emerging technology domains.
Dr. Umamaheswararao is a member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and a Life Member of ISTE. He has authored textbooks and holds two patents to his credit.
